Description – The goal of this study is to describe in detail the life circumstances contributing to student engagement, well-being, and educational perseverance and success among recently arrived immigrant adolescents, as well as the resources to which they have access to navigate these life circumstances. As a way to understand these student strengths and difficulties, and the challenges they experience in high school, we aim to contrast same-school matched immigrant students
who present either positive or more difficult academic pathways a few months after settlement.
